Aunt Nancy

Thank you to my Aunt Nancy, who always encouraged me to draw, bought me art supplies/sketchbooks for Birthdays and Christmases, took such tender care of her gardens and plants, cooked all of those handmade delicious holiday meals, laughed heartily from the belly, smiled perpetually, gave us so much joy on her backyard trampoline/in her swimming pool, threw fun parties in her basement, taught us the benefits of living in a family filled with jokes and pranks (many centered around Easter Peeps), introduced us to Buckwheat Zydeco, and exemplified unrestrained freedom through her many adventures with Uncle Tom, to Texas and beyond.

We love you Aunt Nancy and thank you for all of the memories. RIP.

“Synchronicity” 12-12-2016

The charm and excitement of broadcasting live on KCHUNG Radio‘s pirate/underground/secret basement location cogged within LA Chinatown’s Eardrum Chakra, is the unexpected occurrences arriving at any moment.  The train of thought is moving and suddenly sub-atomics blink and a gusty howl rampages through the drywall. These cosmic bits are what David Lynch calls, “Happy Accidents.” Its precisely what happened on Inspirado Projecto’s episode “Synchronicity”,  with guest Ciara Berlin.

ciarasynchonicity

We played a commercial for The Human System, a BREAKING NEWSFLASH from Fall Creek Valley‘s 101.6, an intriguing song by Grimes,  Fun Facts from Henry D. Horse, a fun one by the Fuckarias, something by Dandy Warhols, hilarious gossip from The Celebrity Afterlife Report, found poetry by a wedding officiant talking about improvisation mixed with a song by Diego Stocco, and a song from Westworld. The magic of the Youniverse and ALL THAT IS, was heartily discussed on the episode as well. Due to this cosmic soup, the KCHUNG studio equipment had a tricky time capturing these nuances and broadstrokes.

The great news is, while diving antennafirst, into this unique sound collage of distinguish-ably particular blips and bleeps, it experiments with testing your patience, as well as exploring a brand new cluster of spacial eardrum placement peculiarities!

Listen to Synchronicity HERE!

Stay tuned to future episodes, as Ciara will return to surf the airwaves again sooner than later .
