We also play the latest Celebrity Afterlife Report by everyone’s favourite Celebrity Medium, reveal a couple of intriguing Fun Facts by our resident detective Henry D. Horse, featured melodious wonderments by both Guy and Ken, and unveil a series of synchronicities that I encountered at a Yachtley Crew show. We also pulled out an old classic by The Amboy Dukes, a very unique song by Orion/Elvis, and recount a very spiritual moment in time with an Apache Native in a bar. Inspirado Projecto frequently makes friends with folks on the subway trains, buses, and through various social networks. Sometimes we get a surprise in our emailbox: firstname.lastname@example.org. It could be spoken word, music, a sound collage, anything that is audio. This time, it was from an EDM artist named Akira The Don, and another fun jam band called The Merry Jaynz. We happily played their music on this broadcast as well, and look forward to playing more from other folks in the future!
This entire show was Skyped from the 1630am KCHUNG Radio whilst I was simultaneously broadcasting through Periscope. Unfortunately, I Station Manage this episode and forget to actually record the adio! However, the good news is, the full length PERISCOPE VIDEO ARCHIVE IS HERE!Another fun perspective is through this quick Instagram video footage.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to the show on the 1st and 3rd Mundees of each month! Its been so much fun to showcase your talents for the Youniverse to experience.
This episode happened synchronistically with news of Tom Petty’s passing. Two weeks prior, I had just seen Petty perform for the first time ever, at the KAABOO Festival, for what could have possibly been his last live performance. He was a thrilling energy to be in the midst of. Soo many memories through the decades of hearing his songs on the radio and in music videos showed up all at once. I didn’t realize until seeing him live, just how many hits he’s created, that we’re all familiar with, so many soundtracks for so many moments in our lives. It felt great to hear mobs of music-goers spanning so many generations, all singing along to his melodies, along with my family and friends. This “KAABOO” episode shares the audio of one of Petty’s timeless classics, recorded that monumental night!
Tom Petty at KAABOO Festival 2017
There was an abundance of amazing art, comedians, arcade games, hybrid humanimal creatures, music and performance art happening in various places about KAABOO. If you took photos of some sculptures with your flash, a hidden designs appeared!
In addition to Petty, some notable musicians I got a chance to see, were Jane’s Addiction, Pete Yorn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael McDonald, Muse, Pink, Eric Burdon from The Animals, Fishbone and others (some of which are played during this episode).
In addition to broadcasting audio on Chinatown’s 1630AM KCHUNG Radio, and streaming live on their website, this 10-2 episode also simultaneously motion-pictured itself in a digital visual format through Periscope. Another intriguing synchronicity happened with this episode. I had recently come across Robert Moss, a Shaman who talks about traveling through dreams and also contacting those who have passed. I planned to play his stuff during the broadcast, long before I heard about Tom Petty. As you know, the Celebrity Afterlife Report Podcast with the Celebrity Medium, is a staple of Inspirado Projecto. The information braided together quite uniquely. As you know we are always enthused to play music/spoken word that is suggested to us through Twitter, our email, on the bus, etc. We played a wonderful collaboration between A.J. and Tara, a cover of a Roy Orbison classic by Katie Shorey (phenomenal singer/songwriter and the frontwoman for Twisted Gypsy the Fleetwood Mac Tribute), an astounding experimental sound collage by one of PQ Ribber‘s many projects: Boys Nitroglycerine Pep Club, information about the upcoming Yachtley Crew show at Borderline Bar & Grill November 3rd, new Fun Facts by our Resident Trivia Expert and Traveler Henry D. Horse, and a wholesome song by the Cactus Blossoms from Twin Peaks: The Return. There are of course, many other surprises as well!
(Alec Smart/Sherman Sitter and Captain Nicholas did an outstanding job steering the KCHUNG Ship across the Galaxywaves, 9-18, in their melodic episode: “Know Your Dragons” as well as their stream-of-orchestration: “After Thoughts“. A piece of that episode is found in this episode.)

Two ideas for this theme are “Oceanic” and “Rabbits.” The latest unique mystery lies in the most recently-discovered ” #runtherabbit ” and ” #outofhandtv “, both of which are imperative as the functioning engine of this sound collage. Yrev very reflective images emerge in various familiar masks during this KCHUNG Radio Hour of Inspirado Projecto.
We also discuss a yrev very cosmic Lynchian event that occurred. Back in May (a week or so before Twin Peaks Season 3 was released) 2017, I created a fun “AstroCoop” image of Dale Cooper dressed as an Astronaut floating through the Red Room. I was thinking about how he reminded me of David Bowie’s “…ground control to Major Tom…”, with Coop out there fused between dimensions trying to find his way back to Twin Peaks, traversing the curtains like heatwaves on Mars. At that point I had no idea the new season would focus on dopplegangers…
After watching each part I hop on the interwebs to see what kinds of new revelations have beamed onto Peakers’ antennae. On July 9th, immediately after watching Part 9, I opened up Twitter to see if other folks caught Easter Eggs that flew past me and/or that I might have also caught. On the Twitter feed I found a photograph that VERY YREV MUCH echoed similarities of my AstroCoop! I immediately sent it to Lawrence August and he artistically blended them together side-by-side:
This astounding accidental ‘prophecy’ was a gift all on its own….now to be able to archive it for my Futureself to look back on, as a strong example of how a series of antennae operating on similar broadcast signals can emerge from the stream-of-consciousness with similar fish!
This episode of Inspirado Projecto covers a lot of bases live on the radio in addition to visually on Periscope! Yes, of course synchronicity, precipitation, art, dreams, and music are discussed and presented in their younique audio formats as per usual. Captain Nicholas, everybody’s favourite Station Manager of KCHUNG 1630am, co-hosts another piece of the puzzlementary.
We discuss Yachtley Crew’s recent sold out show at The Viper Room, the astounding Adam West tribute at City Hall in Los Angeles (June 15, 2017) where the Batsignal shone brightly, the Office of Night Things’ Dream Phone (call them at 800-390-0934 and leave your recent dreams!), talk about exciting new Thimbleweed Park point-and-click adventure game updates, spin a Bobbie Deerfield song, educate the populace with another Henry D. Horse “Fun Fact”, present a song by Linney, discover new Hollywood gossip with the Celebrity Medium on The Celebrity Afterlife Report, shine light on another fun sound collage by Boys Nitroglycerin Pep Club (PQ Ribber’s project, which is unfortunately not credited during the episode, yet luckily credited here!), exhalt the phenomenon known as Twin Peaks and how it is massaging the cosmic consciousness, AND… dig up a wonderful rare-ity by Chris Cornell from the newly released Deluxe Edition of the “Singles” movie soundtrack! Oh yes, we also visit the Dream Phone!!!!
And now, some photos taken at the Adam West Tribute….
In addition to March 20th marking the first day of Spring, it also highlighted the Equinox. A day when both sides of the Hemisphere receive equal amounts of sunlight and darkness. Numerologists have said it is a great time to set your intentions for the upcoming months. So, what intentions have you set for yourself?
Before I get into it, I want to first point out a song credit and a very interesting story to go along with it, that I meant to mention on the show. Sometimes I dj at a Chuck E. Cheese kind of place. A few nights ago on St. Patrick’s Day, I met Joseph Peck, while his Son was hanging out with Mickey Mouse on the dancefloor. He told me it was the first time his Son ever saw Mickey Mouse, as they don’t have a tv at home. Instead, they have lots of music instruments. I learned he played the steel drums. It hearkened back to my first memory of learning what a steel drum was, when I saw a guy make one out of an old oil drum on an episode of Sesame Street. Joseph said “That’s Ellie Mannette! He’s my mentor! He taught me how to tune steel drums!” In addition to catching my Sesame Street reference, it was fascinating that he actually directly knew Ellie! I told Joseph about Inspirado Projecto, had him email me a link to his music and played his song “Slow Sunrise Flow” at the top of the show. Thank you Joseph!
Our guest of the show, is Craig Spivek, a local comedian. We met on the train while I was on my way to make music with my songwriting partner, Lawrence August . He talked about his book, “Comedy Will Save Us All!” It’s available on Amazon and a cross between an autobiography and self-help book. As you read the stories, you get the feeling that you grew up with Craig. He’s very personable and hilarious. Plus, he’s a big fan of synchronicities, which is always a wonderful revelation to learn about someone.
Oh! We also broadcasted LIVE from the KCHUNG Studio, through Periscope! The first time we ever broadcasted LIVE through Periscope, was during our FAR Bazaar episode.
