Virtual 5-7-2018

This 5-7-2018 episode of Inspirado Projecto, “Virtual”,  features a couple of very interesting folks:

Orly Rodriguez joins us via Skype from Florida, currently cobbling together a virtual reality experience based in the world  and characters of Twin Peaks, called “The Archivist.” Orly is additionally making another VR game called, “The Question” (one of the characters, “The Guide”, is voiced by yours truly), which is more cosmic-oriented and Twilight Zone-inspired. Another gent Skyping in,  is Standup Comedian (and longtime improv-collaborator since High School), Jason McNeil, from the Chicagoland area. McNeil’s performances are not limited to stages within traditional venues. He plays on all size stages such as: living rooms, basements, meeting rooms, sidewalks, and other unexpected locations. “Hilaritygram”, his door-to-door comedy business, is perfect for any kind of celebration and can be ordered all over the Chi-town regions! He also voices a couple characters for “The Archivist”. One of those, is the narrator featured in the extraordinary trailer below!

These are some screenshots of familiar locations/characters from the extraordinary world of “The Archivist”.  Also included is a photo of when Jason and I appeared in our first play together in High School, “Golden Boy”. The pics of the bald character in front of the door/purple backgrounds, is “The Guide” from Orly’s other VR, “The Question”.

In this episode, we also featured several unique selections from Brian D’vil (one of our original co-hosts of Inspirado Projecto and Curiosa Obscura on KCHUNG 1630am), Worldland (another one of P.Q. Ribber‘s many side projects), Bukket (Joe McGaha‘s band), Funfacts by Henry D. Horse, and a selection from Man Behind The Machine!

10-2-2017 Episode: KAABOO

This episode happened synchronistically with news of Tom Petty’s passing. Two weeks prior, I had just seen Petty perform for the first time ever, at the KAABOO Festival, for what could have possibly been his last live performance. He was a thrilling energy to be in the midst of. Soo many memories through the decades of hearing his songs on the radio and in music videos showed up all at once. I didn’t realize until seeing him live, just how many hits he’s created, that we’re all familiar with, so many soundtracks for so many moments in our lives. It felt great to hear mobs of music-goers spanning so many generations, all singing along to his melodies, along with my family and friends. This “KAABOO” episode shares the audio of one of Petty’s timeless classics, recorded that monumental night!

There was an abundance of amazing art, comedians, arcade games, hybrid humanimal creatures, music and performance art happening in various places about KAABOO. If you took photos of some sculptures with your flash, a hidden designs appeared!

In addition to Petty, some notable musicians I got a chance to see, were Jane’s Addiction, Pete Yorn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael McDonald, Muse, Pink, Eric Burdon from The Animals, Fishbone and others (some of which are played during this episode).

In addition to broadcasting audio on Chinatown’s 1630AM KCHUNG Radio, and streaming live on their website, this 10-2 episode also simultaneously motion-pictured itself in a digital visual format through Periscope. Another intriguing synchronicity happened with this episode. I had recently come across Robert Moss, a Shaman who talks about traveling through dreams and also contacting those who have passed. I planned to play his stuff during the broadcast, long before I heard about Tom Petty.  As you know, the Celebrity Afterlife Report Podcast with the Celebrity Medium, is a staple of Inspirado Projecto. The information braided together quite uniquely. As you know we are always enthused to play music/spoken word that is suggested to us through Twitter, our email, on the bus, etc. We played a wonderful collaboration between A.J. and Tara, a cover of a Roy Orbison classic by Katie Shorey (phenomenal singer/songwriter and the frontwoman for Twisted Gypsy the Fleetwood Mac Tribute), an astounding experimental sound collage by one of PQ Ribber‘s many projects: Boys Nitroglycerine Pep Club, information about the upcoming Yachtley Crew show at Borderline Bar & Grill November 3rd, new Fun Facts by our Resident Trivia Expert and Traveler Henry D. Horse, and a wholesome song by the Cactus Blossoms from Twin Peaks: The Return. There are of course, many other surprises as well!

(Alec Smart/Sherman Sitter and Captain Nicholas did an outstanding job steering the KCHUNG Ship across the Galaxywaves, 9-18, in their melodic episode: “Know Your Dragons”  as well as their stream-of-orchestration: “After Thoughts“. A piece of that episode is found in this episode.)

Afterlife Episode 6-12-2017

HelloooooOOOOOooooo! This episode is powerpacked with lots of intriguing giblets and vittles!

A great speech by Dr. Amp from the new Twin Peaks Season 3, is played at the top of the broadcast. My little niece Ella and my Brother Josh, contribute some fantastic found poetry.  Two various sound experiments by Nitroglycerin Pep Club (PQ Ribber‘s side project), a couple Fun Facts by Henry D. Horse, mysterious spoken word by Samantha Light, plant music called “Sounds From The Soil“, a cosmic song by Broods, a conversation with my Grandma, body-rockin percussion from Bobbie Deerfield, an adrenaline-filled song by Beelzebullies, new insight from The Celebrity Afterlife Report Podcast, a laid-back folk piece by Skychief, a philosophical selection by Little Lynnie Legend (Lynne Margulies), a song written by Lawrence August, and other surprises are all presented in crispy stereophonics!

This episode is dedicated to my Grandma Gladys Clendenin, who passed away last weekend. Her voice is featured at the beginning and ending of each Inspirado Projecto episode. Thank you Grandma, for your inspiration and encouragement through the years/forever.

4-3-2017 Parallax

On today’s Inspirado Projecto episode, “Parallax”, on KCHUNG RADIO, we welcomed my fellow Columbia College Chicago Alumn, and Mastermind of RogersOrion Management, Orion Barnes! We reminisced about being Directed in the play “Ivanov” by our Mentor and head of the Columbia Theatre Department , Sheldon Patinkin, (and how Sheldon’s teachings aided us in applying ensemble-based collaboration). We engaged intriguing conversations about: the upcoming May 21st Twin Peaks Season 3 (in conjunction with Orion’s personal story about David Lynch’s encounter with Orion’s Sister’s Woodland Creature), his upcoming projects, outstanding synchronicities, his experiences with being in Steppenwolf Theatre’s production of “Slaughterhouse Five” by Kurt Vonnegut (and then what it was like to meet Vonnegut after a performance one night).

We heard a piece of Steve Kirk’s “Thimbleweed Park Soundtrack”, recorded directly from the game. We also have been given 3 COPIES OF “THIMBLEWEED PARK” TO GIVEAWAY.

We presented a unique sound collage by Brett E Berman’s and Shaman Q‘s new project “Boy’s Nitroglycerine Pep Club” and displayed the new advert for the upcoming KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival, played an old King Missile classic which most likely inspired Loreena Bobbit, mentioned alternate reality games, talked about cross-over youniverses with parallel stories found with subjects such as Hamlet by Shakespeare!

Explore: “Opposites” 3-6-2017

This episode “Opposites” of Inspirado Projecto on KCHUNG 1630AM welcomes Kevin Foster, a longtime friend from Junior High School/High School in the Chicagoland area, who has been a writer and stuntman for the past 17 years on various Los Angeles film projects. He also wrote/directed/produced the drama-comedy, “Half Way“, which may some day become available for viewing purposes. In addition to hearing some great wisdom from Kevin about writing, acting, and stuntwork, we played interesting audio selections. We heard spoken word from poetess Samantha Light and podcaster Bret E Berman, Fun Facts from Henry D. Horse, and a new episode of Celebrity Afterlife Report from the Celebrity Medium. We also played original songs from T. Rex,  Jason D. Karr, Bibi Borja, and Jimmy Byron. Also, mentioned was the 2nd Annual KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival, MEAT Clown Industries, Yachtley Crew, and KCHUNG Radio’s experience with Inspirado Projecto at FAR Bazaar with Phil Donlon and Alec Smart. We talked about the Inspirado Projecto Podcasts recently explored and what its like to now be a GodFather! A new station identification was played completely in Italian! We talked about the upcoming Andy Kaufman Fake Death Afterlife Bonanza hosted on Google Hangouts, May 16th.

1-23-2017 Collage!

WOWzers, this episode “Collage”,  landed exactly on 123, which as many of you know, is the beginning of the Fibonacci Sequence! Our special guest, PQ Ribber, talked about his Overnightscape radio show, other various projects he’s collaborated on, and a homemade movie he was in with Andy Kaufman! We give notice to the anniversary of when my fellow Blues Brothers Orphan Jeff Cahill left us, in addition to a cosmic story involving the time when he booked IamAnOrphan to play at On the Rox (you can view the documentary about him and all the bands he helped out on the Sunset Strip, called “The Booker”, right HERE!).

We also ingest interesting Fun Facts by World-traveler Henry D. Horse, spoken word by poetess Samantha Light, a demo version of a song called “Use Me Darling” written by songwriter extraordinaire Lawrence August, a new one by Katmaz from his album “Nautical Things”, a sweet serenade by Bibi Borja and a dreamy soundscape by PQ Ribber. News about the upcoming point-and-click adventure game “Thimbleweed Park” is proclaimed (created by the same geniuses who brought us “Maniac Mansion,” and “Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders“), AND… music featured within the game, at a location called “Quickie Pal”, is revealed!
